Job description

DRS Automotive Solutions Japan K.K. is establishing a long-term presence in Japan as part of its global operations across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

We are seeking a Key Account Manager to manage and develop relationships with automotive dealerships, dealer groups, and OEMs in Japan. This role combines customer relationship management, project coordination, and commercial responsibility in a fast-growing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing relationships with automotive dealers and OEMs

  • Acting as the main point of contact for assigned accounts

  • Identifying opportunities and driving additional business

  • Following up consistently on meetings and proposals

  • Coordinating repair projects with internal teams (Project Managers and Operations)

  • Supporting on-site visits, vehicle assessments, and project setup

  • Ensuring clear communication between customers and internal teams

  • Monitoring project progress and customer satisfaction

This role is ideal for a proactive professional who takes ownership of customer relationships and ensures successful project execution from start to finish.

Job requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in key account management, sales, or customer-facing roles

  • Experience in the automotive industry (dealers, OEMs, suppliers, or related) is preferred

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills

  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and projects

  • Structured, proactive, and reliable working style

  • Strong follow-up discipline and attention to detail

  • Hands-on mindset and willingness to support on-site activities

  • Japanese: Native / Fluent

  • English: Business level
